Sūrah al-Ikhlās: Translation

In the Name of Allāh, The Beneficent, The Merciful.
Say (O beloved Prophet): He, Allāh, is One.
Allāh the Eternally Besought.
He begets not nor is He begotten.
And there is none like Him. (112:1-4)

Hadīth Sharīf on the Merits of Sūrah al-Ikhlās
Hadrat Abū Dardā Rady Allāhu Anhu reported that Prophet Muhammad Sallallāhu alayhi wa Sallam said, “Is any of you incapable of reciting a third of the Qur’ān in a night? On being asked how they could recite a third of the Qur’ān, he replied, “ ‘Say: He, Allāh, is One’ is equivalent to a third of the Qur’ān”. (Muslim)

Fāida (Benefit of what we have learned)

From the above blessed Saying of our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad al-Mustafā Sallallāhu alayhi wa Sallam, the mashāyikh (spiritual masters) have concluded that if we recite Sūrah al-Ikhlās three times, we get a heavenly reward equal to the recitation of the whole Qur’ān. That is surely why Sūrah al-Ikhlās is recited three times at the khatm (completion) of the recitation of the whole Qur’ān. And that is obviously why Imām Abdallāh bin Alawī al-Haddād Rady Allāhu Anhu begins his Wird u’l Latīf (Regular Voluntary Invocations to Allāh) with the recitation of Sūrah al-Ikhlās three times, and ends his Rātib u’sh Shahīr (The Well-Known Sequential Voluntary Regular Invocations) in the same manner. And that is why all the mashāyikh (spiritual masters) exhort us to recite it more and more.

Reminder:
We should remind ourselves of the advice of Imām Abdallāh bin Alawī al-Haddād Rady Allāhu Anhu to recite Sūrah al-Ikhlās eleven times before going to bed every night and to supplicate to Allāh, The Glorified and The Exalted, to grant its heavenly reward to our parents, relatives, and mashāyikh, and to all the Muslim men and Muslim women who have passed away. May Allāh give them a high place in Paradise, Āmīn Yā Rabb al Ālamīn.
