In the name of God, the Compassionate and Merciful!

Praise be to Allah the Originator and Creator of the Universe and all that is contained therein, the One who possesses the most Exalted Attributes and the most beautiful Names. The One who bestows His blessings upon those whom he has chosen and opens for them windows through which they witness his beauty and fills their hearts with mercy and compassion and raises them to heights of knowledge which ordinary books cannot contain. And may Allah shower His Blessings of salat and salaams to our master and beloved Prophet Sayyidna Muhammad together with his family and companions and all those who follow his guidance which is the secret of this witnessing.

Al-Imam al-Habib Ahmad Mashhur bin Taha al-Haddad like his ancestors (in particular al-Imam Abdallah bin al-Alawi al-Haddad) has followed the guidance and the way of the Prophet, upon whom be blessings and peace, with excellence [Ihsaan]. He was full of mercy and of impeccable character [akhlaq] and was one of the great ulema of our time. He was one of the chosen ones whom Allah sends to remind us of the Prophet, upon whom be blessings and peace.

On the physical plane of this universe when a great mass is moved the gravitational effect can be so enormous that space itself is transformed, and other effects are experienced. On a spiritual plane, such an analogy may give us just a glimpse of the spiritual impact of the departure of such a great man as al-Imam al-allama al-daaya al-Habib Ahmad Mashhur bin Taha al-Haddad. May Allah’s Mercy and Blessings be upon him always.

Those of us to whom Allah has shown His favour by letting us see this great man can only give thanks to Allah and pray that Allah will always show His mercy on His ummah by sending us people like al-Habib Ahmad Mashhur bin Taha al-Haddad.

Praise be to Allah, Glorified is He, the All-Knowing, the Ancient, the Living, the Everlasting.
